This is a typical 17th century Dutch pillow cabinet.
I made this 1:12 scale cabinet for the Rembrandthouse project; the complete Rembrandt museum in miniature.
You can find the original cabinet in the Rembrandtmuseum in Amsterdam.
This DIY cabinet is impressive!
Although it is easy to build (all parts slot together) it is a lot of work: This cabinet kit contains 144 parts so it is some sort of challenge...
The doors and drawers can open.
The kit comes with an extensive building guide in English with pictures. The kit is made from unpainted mdf.
You need glue, paint and some sanding paper (and time) to finish this kit.
Size: dxwxh= 60x144x195mm / 2,4x5,7x7,7 inch (total size with ''roof'')
Size of cabinet itself: dxw=45x112mm / 1,8x4,4 inch
